varied situations each faces.

Judy and Bud Simms
Judy and Bud both lost their spouses to Alzheimer's. Both of their spouses spent their final days in a nursing home after being cared for as long as possible at home. Judy and Bud met each other in a support group, and are now married to each other. Feisty and wise to the many faces of Alzheimer's disease, Judy is the facilitator of the support group to which many of those featured in The Real Alzheimer's belong.
George and Carolyn Biocic
Street-wise plumber George is the caregiver to his wife Carolyn, who is in the early stages of Alzheimer's. George cares for Caroloyn at home, and is having a difficult time adjusting to his new role as a caregiver. Both Carolyn and George participate in the interview, giving a glimpse into Carolyn's deteriorating mental state.
Dennis and Nancy Humberstone
Former Fortune 500 executive George is the caregiver for his wife Nancy, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's at age 57. Nancy is present in the house during the interview, but she is in the very late stages and is non-responsive. Dennis has full-time in-home professional care for Nancy, and he is beginning to make plans for life without his wife.
Paula and Tony Falo
Paula and Tony did all they could to care for Paula's cousin, Leo, and Leo's wife, Alice, both of whom had Alzheimer's at the same time. This Italian couple from New York is opinionated, spirited, and holds nothing back as they describe what it was like caring for two loved ones at once.
Jackie and Biff Campbell
Tough, gritty Jackie Campbell was the full-time caregiver for her husband, Biff. She kept him at home until the late stages of his disease. After a traumatic and unnecessary ordeal during a doctor's visit, Biff was hospitalized against Jackie's will, leading to his death just 40 days before the interview.
